10:30 a.m. “Beholding Behemoth: the Bible, and Science Behind the Chief of Dinosaurs” by Tommy Lohman of Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum Founder’s Hall Are dinosaurs mentioned in the Bible? The book of Job talks about an animal called 'Behemoth,' described as the 'chief of the ways of God.' Join us and learn from Field Paleontologist Tommy Lohman about how Behemoth is a dinosaur and how the details of Job 40 help us understand dinosaur biomechanics.
11:30 a.m. Workshop: “Biomechanical Model” by Tommy Lohman of Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum Building B The sauropod dinosaurs were the largest land animals to have ever walked the face of the earth. They had an interesting movement pattern in their hips and tail. Job 40 mentions Behemoth as a creature with strong muscles, bones, and a swaying tail. This suggests that Behemoth was a sauropod dinosaur. You can join Tommy Lohman in building your biomechanical model hip section of a sauropod dinosaur to take home. This workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up.
