“The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them” (Proverbs 20:12).
One of the most amazing testimonies to human perversity is the phenomenon of evolutionary naturalism. The very idea that such complex physiological mechanisms as eyes and ears with the intricate nervous system that conveys their messages, and the magnificently organized brain that receives and uses them, could develop by natural processes, could only arise in hearts in desperate rebellion against God.
The very laws of science as well as the instinctive testimony of human reason make such notions absurdly foolish. No evolutionist has any evidence or natural explanation as to how such devices ever arose by chance, for all living organisms are marvels of complex engineering design. It is far more likely that a skyscraper or an airplane could evolve by chance processes than could the wing of a butterfly or the petals of a rose, not to mention the human brain and its mysterious thought processes.
And if only God could design the eye, and the ear, and the brain, we can be sure He sees all we do, hears all we say, and knows all our thoughts. “Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see? He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not He correct? He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not He know?” (Psalm 94:8–10).
Belief in evolution is nothing but rebellious folly, yet evolution is taught as sober fact in schools and colleges everywhere. No one has ever seen it happen, and no one knows how it could work. It is nothing but an attempt to get away from God, for only God can make a hearing ear and a seeing eye! HMM
